Indoor, outdoor, public and private, these murals range in size from over 250 square metres, to less than a square metre. All murals are commissions, and any project will be considered. Island Bay Fishers, Humber St, Island Bay.
• The “Civic Trust” award winning, Seawall mural in Oriental Bay, repainted in April 2014

Another area of interest for Ellen is facilitating the permanent, public display of children’s art. She has worked with a number of schools in a teaching/enabling role to invigorate parts of their sites with their pupil’s artwork. Along with a number of murals which incorporate child and adult tenants art at various WCC Housing properties.

TESTIMONIALS

Working with Ellen has been a wonderful experience. She was adaptive to our needs and helped us get the most out of our art engagement process. Ellen’s creativity and talent exceeded all expectations and her guidance throughout the project was invaluable. The finished mural is beautiful and delivered exactly what was promised. Thank you Ellen. Ayreen - Community Action Team, City Housing

Ellen painted a "forest to the sea" mural on a concrete garage wall for us  in 2006. Having heard what we wanted she researched the trees and plants, showed us a small mock up of what she proposed and then started work. The finished mural is a joy to behold and gives our family great pleasure every day as a back drop to our garden. As a work of art it works well at every level and I wouldn't hesitate to get her to paint more if we had the right spot. We commend her as a warm, friendly artist with a good eye for detail.Jon

We liked your first mural so much that we commissioned another ... The whole process was enlightening. Ellen listened to our ideas, produced several designs, then elaborated on the one we selected. The completed mural has far exceeded our expectations.“Roseneath residents"

Ellen designed & painted a mural for the Northland Memorial Community Centre to celebrate the centre's 50th year. She was extremely professional, a great communicator and a lovely person to have around the centre. Her design was amazing. We were not too sure exactly what we wanted when we first made contact with Ellen but she made the whole process so easy, and the mural is perfect for the space and the community. It incorporates some portraits of locals who contributed to building the centre and they look just like the photos I gave her!  Ellen enhanced our community centre by creating such a special mural for us, people always comment on how beautiful it is. Thank you Ellen, for sharing your wonderful talent with our community. Angelina NMCC co-ordinator
